6th Edition of the Romanian Palaces Music Tournament

debuts at Pele CastleAND

Within The Sound of Music Season, Peleș Castle Music Hall HOSTS Saturday, September 22, 2018, from 4 p.m., the first episode of the 6th edition of the Romanian Palaces Music Tour, organized by Pro Valores Association and funded by The Romanian Cultural Institute and the Union of Interpretive Creation of Musicians from Romania.

After the incredible success of the signal concert that took place on June 3 at the Brancovenesc Palace in Mogoșoaia, the protagonist of the itinerant event – accordionist Fernando Mihalache, accompanied by two particularly spectacular instruments, rarely present on the classical stages of Romania: accordion and bayan, offers you a unique journey, full of sonic beauties that span the centuries. Opuses from Bach to Richard Galliano, from Mozart to Eugen Doga and Astor Piazzolla will resound.

Access is based on invitation, which can be obtained by writing to the address: peles.ro@gmail.com.

Fernando Mihalache is one of the few Romanian accordion players who have managed to break into the concert scene. He obtained his doctorate in music from the National University of Music in Bucharest in 2011. His remarkable qualities allow him to approach a wide variety of musical genres and styles – a recognition of this fact being his presence on the stage of the George Enescu Festival, the Jazz Blues & More Festival, “The Sound of Spring”, etc. One of his most important projects is “Traffic Strings”, materialized with a compact disc in 2009. Together with vibraphonist Alexandru Anastasiu, he lays the foundations of “Accord Vibes”, a large-scale project (accordion and vibraphone), unique in Romania. Another interesting project due to the timbral association (flute, accordion, piano and double bass) as well as the repertoire approached is “Maxim Quartet”. Now he is facing his first solo tour, a real artistic challenge that you should not miss.
