The Peleș National Museum will open on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in the Hall of Honor of Pelișor Castle, the temporary painting exhibition "In Memoriam Regina Maria" by architect Alexandra Teacă.
Alexandra Teacă is a graduate of the "Ion Mincu" Institute of Architecture and Systematization in Bucharest, specializing in architecture and systematization, the study of form, painting, representations, perspective study and design. In 2014, she obtained her PhD in architecture with the thesis "The influence of painting on the architectural language of the early 20th century". She is a member of the Romanian Architects' Union, the "Art Majeur" Association, the French Fine Artists' Association, and a member of the IHS Rotterdam international network.
Alexandra Teacă is also the author of important specialized works, including: "Aesthetic Considerations in Art and Architecture - Antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance", "Aesthetic Considerations in Art and Architecture - the 17th Century", "Aesthetic Considerations in Art and Architecture - the 19th Century", as well as a painting album entitled "Metamorphosis".
The opening will also feature creations by designer Simona Șpan.
The exhibition will be open until July 27 and can be visited free of charge, according to the visiting schedule of Pelișor Castle.
