The Peleș National Museum invites you to visit the temporary exhibition "King Carol I. Founder of Modern Romania", open from July 27 to October 27, in the exhibition halls of Peleș Castle.

The opening will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 4:00 PM.

The long and prosperous 48-year reign of King Carol I, a prince and king of German descent, meant the modernization and Europeanization of Romania, which achieved its independence as a state and, subsequently, a well-deserved place in the concert of European nations.

The exhibition aims to be a tribute to the great founder of modern Romania, whose birth marked 180 years this spring, on April 20, and evokes essential aspects of the life and political activity of the founder of the royal dynasty, while also recreating the artistic environment in which the sovereign lived.

The exhibition can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday, according to the following schedule:

Wednesday: 11:00 – 16:15

Thursday – Sunday: 9:15 – 16:15

Admission is free.

Registration for the event is done by simply sending an email to peles.ro@gmail.com
