"KOUYOU" – Japanese autumn sounds, at the end of the season at Peles Castle
Edition aX aa “The Sound of Music” Season, an event organized by the Peleș National Museum and the Union of Interpretive Creation of Musicians from Romania, in the Music Hall of Peleș Castle, ends with a unique event.
Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 4 p.m., the laureates of the “Romania” Competition in Tokyo, organized by the Romanian Music Society in Japan, will present a particularly spectacular program to our lovers of the art of sound. Marimba player Chiyuki Funakoshi and soprano Mayuko Komori, in collaboration with pianist Mihai Murariu, will perform both works by Japanese creators, such as: Takatsugu Muramatsu, Kazunori Miyake, Tatsunosuke Koshitani, as well as works by titans of European music: Johann Sebastian Bach, Vincenzo Bellini, Giacomo Puccini.
The event is part of the ambitious project "100 years in 100 concerts" organized by the Union of Interpretative Creation of Musicians from Romania, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Identity and the Administration of the National Cultural Fund.

Marimba player Chiyuki Funakoshi She began studying music at the age of 12. Her teachers were Koya Nakatani and Yumiko Watanabe. In 2015 she won the gold medal and the third prize at the “Snaredrum Solo Competition” for juniors and seniors, respectively. At the 13th edition of the “RomAnia" won both the first prize and theAnd the Grand Prize. She is currently a student at Musashino Academy in Tokyo, where she received the 2018 Scholarship. "In memory of Naoaki Fukui" and was selected as a member of the Musashino Ensemble.
Soprano Mayuko Komori graduated from the Osaka College of Music, and at the 21st edition of "Japan Song Competition”, won the 1st prize and the 2nd prize "Fumiko Yotsuya". In the 13th edAt the International Competition “Romania” in Tokyo, she won the third prize in the singing section.
Michael Murariu is a pianist, organist, composer, doctor of music, as well as a teacher at the National University of Music Bucharest.
