"From Paganini to Piazzolla" – Guitar Recital at Peleș Castle

On Saturday, June 16, in the Music Hall of Peles Castle, at 4 p.m., the recital entitled "From Paganini to Piazzolla" supported by Costin SoareThe event is part of the Sound of Music Season, an event organized by the Peleș National Museum and the Union of Interpretive Creation of Musicians in Romania.

One of the most appreciated and active Romanian guitarists, with 6 national tours to his credit, (we mention here "From Bach to the Beatles" and the CD promotion tour "Twenty Shades of Music"– together with flutist Ion Bogdan Ştefănescu), Costin Soare proposes this time a program that starts from the music of Niccolo Paganini, the famous violinist who, less known, was also a passionate guitarist, and enters the world of the man who reinvented tango in the 20th century, Astor PiazzollaThus, invited on a musical journey into the world of Romanticism and Neo-Romanticism from the beginning of the 20th century, the audience will also be able to listen to works by composers such as Manuel de Falla, Heitor Villa-Lobos or Agustin Barrios Mangore, swinging between virtuosity and delicacy, between intense energy and intimacy.

Costin Soare (www.costinsoare.com) is one of the most appreciated and active Romanian artists, happily combining a beautiful concert career (guitarist and lutenist) with a pedagogical one (professor at the "Dinu Lipatti" National Academy of Music, Bucharest and associate professor at the National University of Music in Bucharest), being also the artistic director of the "Serile de chitară" International Festival (www.seriledechitara.ro), a successful event now in its seventh edition, in which top guitarists from all over the world perform. With an experience of 6 national tours to his credit ("From Paganini to Piazzolla" /2018, "From Bach to Beatles" /2017; the promotion tour of the CD "Twenty Shades of Music" - with flutist Ion Bogdan Ştefănescu /2017; Music in the Palaces of Romania /2016; Easter Harmonies /2015 - with actress Daniela Nane; Nocturnes and Dances /2013), two CDs, one released in 2017, "Twenty Shades of Music" - with flutist Ion Bogdan Ştefănescu, the other in 2014 ("Nocturnes and Dances"), permanent member of two chamber ensembles (with flutist Ion Bogdan Stefanescu and the mezzo-soprano Claudia Codreanu), the guitarist Costin Soare is a tireless promoter of high-quality classical music through an instrument whose intimate voice and repertoire are appreciated by the general public.
