The collection of textiles from the patrimony of Peleș National Museum consists of over 4,000 pieces, including carpets, tapestries, draperies, embroideries, creations of European and Oriental workshops from the 16th-20th centuries. Its core are the acquisitions of the members of the Royal House of Romania. An important segment of the collection consists of textile pieces given to Romanian sovereigns on the occasion of certain events, as well as purchases by the Romanian state from the second half of the 20th century.
